Patient Satisfaction

What do our patients have to say about us?

“I am writing this letter to extol the virtues of your team at [MedStar] Surgery Center.

I visited the Pain Management Center at Georgetown at the suggestion of my oncologist. It was recommended that I have a celiac plexus block. Nicole handled the scheduling and maintained contact with me, which helped to ease my concerns.

I had two procedures at your center. What pleasant experiences! Everyone I came in contact with (anesthesiologist, residents, nurses, nursing assistants, receptionist, etc.) smiled, was courteous, helpful and professional. I was treated with great care, all information was presented to me clearly and both procedures went well. The staff was very pleasant, organized and on time, which is unusual these days. I was treated with understanding, professionalism and compassion.

I can't say enough about your team. I am just as impressed with Dr. Tesfayohannes and his associates. Everyone I came in contact with made me feel comfortable and "at home" which is saying a lot in itself. I am in awe of these individuals and wanted you to know how very much I appreciate the care I received from these remarkable people. It is rare to have such excellent care on one occasion, but two is phenomenal.

I also wish to thank you [Denise Lascar, president] for introducing yourself and welcoming me. What a pleasant surprise. I am sure you are a busy person with many challenges which you must face on a daily basis. Having you spend time with me and the other patients was a lovely gesture on your part. Many thanks!”

“I am writing to commend the outstanding team of medical professionals at [MedStar Surgery Center] for the superb care and courteous assistance I received on the day of my outpatient procedure. I am particularly grateful to Amanda, Ashley, Gale, Renee, Rochelle, Tara, and Tony for their first-rate professionalism and extraordinary kindness.

My surgeon, Dr. Sheldon I. Laps, performed superbly. I feel quite fortunate to have such a highly skilled and caring podiatrist.

Again, thank you for taking such wonderful care of your patients. I would not hesitate to recommend the Center for Ambulatory Surgery to colleagues and friends throughout the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.”

“I would like to commend you and your organization for the excellent service I received in June 2008. My gastroenterologist, Dr. James H. Frank, scheduled me for an outpatient procedure — a colonoscopy at your facility. The efficient, caring and at the same time professional manner in which I was helped from start to finish was extraordinary and harks back to bygone days.

I arrived at 7:13 a.m. and at exactly 7:15 a.m. Julie at the front desk called my name, took my pertinent information; before I could sit and open a magazine Art called my name and escorted me to the changing area. Next, Patti began the prep for my anesthesia, and then she was joined by Dr. Ang and Dr. Herron. Tia asked a question or two then off to the procedure area where Rochelle assisted Dr. Herrin in situating me properly on the "gurney" so Dr. Frank could perform the procedure.

At 8:30 a.m. I awake and Rochelle is making sure I am comfortable and slowly coming out of the anesthetic. Dr. Frank then shared the good news: no polyps! Next visit in 2013!

Even though my start was short, I felt completely at ease and without any anxiety in what could be a very stressful situation for some. I just want you all to know how much I appreciated the excellent manner in which I was treated.

Melissa's follow-up call once again brought home to me how much each of your staff demonstrated that they want to give the best ambulatory care service in our area. I will sing your praises and recommend [MedStar Surgery Center] to all my friends, co-workers, and acquaintances.”

“I want to express my appreciation for the fine care I received at [MedStar Surgery Center]. In a world where a premium is placed on efficiency and mass productivity, I was so impressed with your regard for personal attention and individual care. From the warm welcome I received at reception to the kindness of the wheelchair attendant who gently assisted me into the car after my procedure, each staff person at [MedStar Surgery Center] acted as a health care ambassador of good will, competency and care. In addition to being respectful, the staff was professional and engaged in effective and appropriate communication. I am most appreciative of the manner in which you manage [MedStar Surgery Center].”

“This was my first time using [MedStar Surgery Center]. Overall I was satisfied with the facility and staff, which was very courteous and professional. I would recommend it to family and friends.”

“This will be my third time receiving treatment here. Never had a bad experience and I appreciate the services greatly.”
